I don't own one but would think a stiff aluminum track bike would be slightly unpleasant for commuting. That said, quite a few people out there ride them so they can't be that bad.

Im kidding, if someone is seriously considering spending that much money just to buy the Concept, does he really need our okay to buy it and to ride it on the street, I mean honestly 99% of the people that ride them have them for cool points

If you're considering this for you FIRST street fixed gear, it may be a little much. For recomendations, check that sticky thread.

If you have the $$$ for it, I'd say it looks pretty good
I have one and it is rad on the street!
fun as hell!
I also have a couple of steel bike and hard to tell the difference these people are just very sensitive and need to be coddled.
Why not, if you're considering it you're obviosly not looking for a comfy touring bike so it'll probably do you well.
Buy it and ride it into the ground

it's probably an unfair assertion but i'm basing my opinion on aluminum on a rental road bike (trek 2100) i had on vacation for a few days. i could tell the difference, there was a 'dead' feel as opposed to steel's liveliness, and it didn't handle the bumps or gravel very well. there could be other reasons for this as well though, such as the wheel set. not saying this means the pista concept rides like that bike, i'm sure i'd enjoy the concept better because of the geo. just sayin.

They are really great bikes. Everyone that I have heard that has one, rides it on teh street and loves it. A friend of mine totalled his though, so that stinks. but the bike is a favorite for many people.

wow, spend a little too much time on the internet?
I gonna have to back up andre on this one if i ride a real long time on my concept I am a little more fatigued than when I ride my bridgestone the same distance. but you should have already bought that concept by now anyway.
The concept is a great bike.
It's a ****ty bike to ride on the street.
Not because it's Al
Because it's Al with huge really thin tubes so it's stiff as **** and doesn't like being locked up.
The geometry is also crap for commuting and all the unsealed bearing on that one are a further mistake.
I know the kid thats selling it, its legit. He knows his stuff and how to take care of a bike. I almost bought it from him in the fall/winter.
