Fifty Plus (50+) - Who do we kick off of the Island?

Okay, it is time to cast our votes to kick someone off of the island.

The nominees are:

BluesDawg - for never winning a mountain bike race
SaiKaiTai - for his incessant hill riding
Jet Travis - for changing his identity and vacationing in Indiana
DnvrFox - for starting all of this - under the principle of first in, first out
The Weak Link - need I say anything?
Beverly - for being too nice, nice people never win
MaddMaxx - for running too many secret contests and his evil avatar
jppe - for making all of the rest of us look like pikers
Terrierman - for first proclaiming himself a Fred and then turning his back on Fred-dom. And for his double posts.
Tom Bombadil - a great guy who doesn't deserve the abuse that he takes
Digital Gee - just search his backlog of posts, there are over 4000 reasons & for owning a bike that he doesn't deserve.

Since only 10 choices are allowed, I am combining Beverly & Jet Travis as a dual entry.

In contrast, today I went and biked to see my 92-year old grandma! That's what we do over here...

I didn't ride today either but it's a scheduled day off after 5 days of riding. Thursday is an off day, too. It's the end of my 4 x 10 work week and I'm usually too darn tired to ride:(

Almost didn't post it because I didn't want to insult anyone.

I can see the points about DG, except that he provides so much comic relief. So he can stay in spite of his undeserved Roubaix.

This is the best contest EVER! I used simple logic to rid the island of two pests ... uhhh fellow 50+'ers with one little vote. Oh. Oh my. Uhh Beverly, neither of them were you.... Honest...

What about the guy who started Bike Forums, asked for $25 to become a gold/platinum/titanium member, (or whatever the hell that red star thing is), then turns around and sells Bike Forums for a nifty profit...without a twinge of guilt!

Ah, but a statistician would almost never list them in alphabetic order. It induces a bias into the voting. I had the names on a piece of paper in alphabetical order, and then purposefully scrambled them. If I could have written a program, I would have the list presented in a different order each time the thread was opened.

That and I wanted to end up with a bang, thus your name is the grand finale.

It is obvious that there is a ballot malfunction. People who think they are voting for DG are being confused by the butterfly ballot arrangement and are inadvertently voting for me.

My brother, on the other hand, always wins stuff...ever since he was a little kid. Drawings, radio phone-ins, etc. Too bad he doesn't post in here...I could finally get rid of him once and for all!

Do I read the list of candidates correctly? Is Beverly the only woman up for banishment? Isn't this kind of sexist? Shouldn't HWY40Blue or VegaVixen also be on thin ice? Didn't "Title 9" teach us anything????

Also, maybe we should list the votees in terms of bike color. For example...should people with, say, white bikes, get banished? Or people with blue bikes get some kind of big prize?

I am in constant contact with the "Mad Moderator" and it won't be too long before Tom Bombadil disappears forever from the 50+ Forum of BFN. He will be allowed limited posting privileges on the Advocacy and Safety and Roadie Forums, due to his love of Road Bikes and safe riding.

I suspect some serious voting irregularities because Bombadil is only getting 2/3 of the vote. In a fair, unrigged election he would most certainly have gotten them all. (Here follows obligatory 50+ disclaimer about "just kidding")
