I attended the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organizations (SJTPO) yearly public open forum last night, 6/26/7. I was the only person there, except for the organizer, his counterpart, and a representative from the NJ DOT.
I got to list 9 area specific issues and included LAB's listing of $600 million dollars allocated for bicycle/pedestrian projects in America (they were not aware of) being sent back into the pot due to misrepresentation (not being asked for).

My point here is singular:
we won't make changes happen for bicycle inclusion on our roads (or trails) without representation. we need to be at the township/community/region meetings and represent our issues. Good job to those who already go to the meetings and represent. for others, if you can, go and make some noise!

Who is LAB ?

tomg

LAB is the League of American Bicyclists (used to be LAW - League of American Wheelmen).
They are one of our (bicyclists) strongest voices in Washington, DC regarding political representation.
Check out their website to see more of their works.
