I was just wondering if any retailer gives discounts to owners groups or forums like this one?
I used to belong to a Toyota Mr2 Forum/owner's group and a few retailers gave us discounts (not huge but 10-15%). Have we ever had that kind of benefit here?

I joined my local bike club for an annual $10 fee, and that gets me up to 10% off bikes, accessories, and repairs at many local bike shops. With what I spend on stuff, that will pay for itself in about 7 minutes.

Most LBS in my area give discounts to cycling club members. The club I belong to gets me a 15% discount at one shop in particular (a very good shop I might add) along with very good deals on direct orders from companies like Clif Bar and Bianchi along with other group buys that come around from time to time. You do have to pay to be a member for most clubs but the benefits far out weigh the cost for me.
