Fifty Plus (50+) - Tonight I ride. Dammit

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Damn but this cycling thing does get in your blood.
I was all set to head out Wed night for my shots and a ride when an urgent email came in and I was stuck working until after midnight. No ride :(
So, yesterday, I did make it out for my shots and was all set to get out for my ride and... another problem.
Stuck again (though not as badly)... no ride again :( :(
Tonight I HAVE to ride.
I just have this weird itch... I'm all wired up. I need -and I mean NEED- to get out and roll up a few miles.
I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Maybe I'll do some hills

I'm not. Back to work last monday and I still have a time clock to re-set. By the time I get home at 6PM- I do not feel like doing anything- Plus the garden needs so much attention that I don't have the time to do one either.

Do some hills for me:)
It's a haircut for me tonight and then back to biking tomorrow morning:D Hopefully the much needed rain will be out of the area as predicted and we can do the birthday ride.

Put in some miles for me, too, while you're at it! Between work, home, and some rain we've had lately (but we do really need it!), no riding for me either!! But, I'm not feeling the need to get out there, just doesn't seem to matter of late. Been getting more involved in working with Donna's two horses lately. I don't ride horses yet, but may just be a matter of time.

You sure you want to take me on?
On Monday, I raced my neighbor up the hill back to my house.
Of course, he was driving... Needless to say, he won
+1 for the ride.
Can't get out more than a couple times a week and tonight's the night. May even duck out of work early.

Shots and a ride? Are you on something, are you shooting clay pigeons, on some special inoculation routine, or what?

I got to change my work schedule, so that I come in later on Tues and Thurs, so I can get 20+ miles in before work. I really like doing that, then when unexpected things happen in the evening, I already have my ride in. Then I just hope my weekends stay open enough to at least get one ride in. Otherwise I can get to feeling pretty needy!

Hmm. Just a thought.
When you're going through withdrawl, cut an 8 inch length of an innertube and tie it around your arm.
Then you can tell everyone that you're on "The Patch".

Read William Glasser's "Positive Addiction." It's a good thing. A very good thing.

OK, that's better... miles were ridden (12.5) and, yes, hills were climbed (and gone back down. wheeeeee)
It was an absolute stunner of an evening on the coast; many :D:D:D per mile were had and the quota was filled. Ahhhhhhhh.... anyone have a smoke?
