Introductions - hi all

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I joined so I could read the forums, mostly about components. I'm an overweight forty-something science teacher, just got my first road bike, and I have been beating around on an old mtb 'warhorse' for about 10 years, just with friends, nothing fancy. I've been spending more time on the pedals the past 2 years, trying to get back in shape. We have lots of trails here in N Maine for mt bikes, and lots of hilly roads with hardly any traffic for the roadies. We have bike camps with biathlon people and pt people, just did a 3 day charity ride, pretty fun.

Hello lindamcd, try visiting the Clydesdales forum if you haven't already found it. Great support and motivation over there.

What kind of components are you looking at?

What part of Maine are you in?

Welcome to BF!
