I was at a coney with my friend and got a call from a friend that said he was at Gilbert Willis park waiting for the fireworks and they were about to go off. I got home and on my bike and checked the time. 9:40. I decided they'd go off at 10:06, like the Detroit ones, just enough time to see them as I was pulling up. I start pumping as hard as I can, hit 25 and keep it there for 2 miles, down hill and up. Get to the mup and realize I shouldn't have bought a Schwinn head lamp. Go about 10 the rest of the way. As I'm about a 1/2 mile away they start going off and I watch them as I walk my bike through the crowd.
