I got a question for all you trailheads. If you were to take a leak on a trail would you be able to get a ticket? If so, please share your experiences.:p

In the UK, it is legal for a road user to take a leak as long as he places his horse or carriage between himself and the road. Obviously, this is a law of some vintage, but is still applicable.

For the sake of discretion, I tend to find places that from which it's virtually impossible to see me when I do this, and I'm not aware of any law out here prohibiting this. Although I do have a personal rule that I follow here - I never take a leak anywhere it's going to flow into any of our waterways. If there's one thing the last 2.5 years has taught me, it's the value of clean water. :D

I think I heard a year or so ago that the state of Virginia passed a no pee in public law. Don't really care. I do like Chris says and keep it discrete.
