I have them

They are excellent..I love them. Much better than the Speedplay X3s I had before. Clipping in takes some use to...but it's like clockwork now. I strongly recommend them :D

Been using them for three or four weeks now. Switched to them from SPDs, so it took some getting used to. No problem at all clipping in, but it's a lot harder than my old SPDs to get out.
A few weeks of practice and I'm pretty quick at it.
They're a very nice solid platform, I can definitely feel the improved power transfer when I'm pullling up.

I've got PD6600 which i no longer use. I prefered the Time Impacts.

I use the R535's and like them a lot.

I've really had no big learning curve with my PD-R600s, got used to them almost immediately. Power transfer is great, and no issues thus far with pains or discomfort. I'm using Nike Poggio shoes.

You know, I was really into those pedals at first, but I read a few reviews, saying that the pedalling action is "toey". I am an anti-"toey" guy, and I have tried all the positions with my regular SPDs. I just find I am most comfortable with the cleat back farther towards my arch on the ball of my foot.

No first hand experience, but in general people are giving the SPD-SL pedals high marks. Aside from an initial problem with cleats breaking (supposedly these have all been recalled), the only complaint I've read is that they apparently allow some side to side movement (as opposed to simple rotation), and this from only one person.

If they allow a little side to side movement then tha isa good thing. Time Impacts are designed to give the side to side movement (Lateral movement) and rotation (Float)

i like TIME pedals too. i have the aluminum ATAC pedals and i love the clipping in/out action. do the impacts have a similar mechanism/cleat? i'm looking for new pedals for my road bike and i don't want to have to get new shoes...maybe i'll just get the carbon ATACs...
