Introductions - A Proper Introduction

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey there, everybody, my name's Peter. I've spent most of the spring and summer so far getting myself, my wife, and three sons on bikes at minimal cost, and we're getting addicted! We actually chose to rent a house less than two miles from my work for an easy commute, and we just sold our second car, so we've lightened the load there. You can get so many more bikes than cars in a garage! We have: A GT Tequesta mt. bike that was left in the garage of a house we bought; a Huffy Sport Series 21-speed that's my work ride, and holding up pretty well; a vintage AMF Roadmaster that's my wife's cruiser; and a Fuji S10-S I just got from a neighbor. That one needs a little work, yet(like a seat and brakes!) My first post on this board, in fact, was about that bike over in the vintage forum. Oh, and we live in Washington state, where weather forecasts are for entertainment purposes only! See you 'round!

Hi Peter, I noticed your post over in Classic & Vintage, and zeroed in on the 'Olympia'!
I wish I could get my husband to see the beauty in your statement about fitting more bikes in the garage than cars, but he figures his pickup is paid for, he might as well keep it :(. I could certainly use the space though :) .
Welcome to BF!

He's safe from me so far, but he could meet up with ollo ollo and a few others, especially along the Yelm-Tenino trail :) .

We're fond of the Chehalis-Western trail, esp. north of 26th. If you see this one coming, that's my dear wife:
