After much soul searching, finally went back to the LBS and bought the Jamis Commuter 3.0. Gave lots of other bikes in the store a final spin just to make sure I really wanted it (incl Jamis Coda, various Bianchi's, Fuji's within the same price range). Yep, the Commuter 3.0's my bike. Getting a few things installed right now, and should be ready for me to pick up this afternoon.

Thanks to everyone in this forum for their advice! Can't wait to take it out for a spin this weekend. It's supposed to be sunny and in the low 70s. I'll let you know how it goes. :D

Yeah this weekend is supposed to be beautiful. Perfert time to put some miles on the new horse eh? :) Grats on the new bike.

Man, just picked up my ride. Walked to the LBS, rode the 2 miles back home. Felt great, especially when I was zooming by all the cars stuck in afternoon traffic.

Can't wait till I go for longer rides along bike trails tomorrow. Anyone in the Boston area recommend a trail? Maybe along the Charles?
