Red Rider and I took off for a recovery ride this morning. Of course when we got going, we got going. It was a fun 33 miler, a reverse Winters Loop. It was a bit windy and of course the wind switched directions on us so we got it on both long legs. We went about 30 miles, went into town and stopped for coffee and, dare I say it, Danish. There was no pie so we settled. Here is the proof.

This was our first "pie" adventure. It was fun. Tomorrow we are doing an unsupported century. We leave the house and ride to St. Helena, stopping at V. Sattui winery for some good deli picnic and excellent wine. We then cross back over the mountains around Lake Berryessa and on home. It will be about 6500 ft of climb. If we have pie tomorrow does that count too?

Best part of a recovery ride is the Pie. So best thing is to treat tomorrow as a Recovery to recovery ride and definitely find a pie.

Danish Eaten with a Fork- Looks Sophisticated. Just don't let DG see how it should be eaten. He'll lose weight trying to get the fork to work.

Going by the size of the pair of you- You are definitely lacking on Pie so get eating.

OK guys. Raise you hand if you think a woman in red and white bicycle clothes can kick your butt . . . on or off the bike. And you'd like it. :D

That looks like a lot of fun... it reminds me of our stops for bagels and coffee.

Have a great time tomorrow. I think you'll deserve a piece of pie.

Only if she finds real pie and stops using the fork. Don't trust a stoker with a weapon.

Girl doesn't need no steenking fork. She's a red headed Irish/French girl from South Jersey with 15 years in the fitness industry. :p Need I say more?
