Has anyone rode out to Oakland to see this shi in person in the Oaktown Streets? I sure as hell am too scared to ride my bike in the middle of an Oakland intersection, the thugs in cars are a LOT meaner than some dude on a bike. Quite frankly that's pretty fearless

I can't say about the Critical Mess action, but kids have been rolling trikes with slap and tinfoil in the spokes for years. The scraper bike is not a new phenomenon.

As far as riding in Oakland goes, people in most parts of town (there are certainly exceptions) are way more aware of peds/bikes than the as*hole drivers in SF.

As far as bombing Oakland goes, you're letting your ignorance show, kid.

I lived here for 5 years before. And no, people over here still talk about Oakland.
For a city with just over 400,000 people and almost 150 murders last year, Oakland IS a war zone. I think theyre trying to keep up with Iraq.

Scared of some people dancing? Really, that's threatening to you? Have you ever even seen a crackhead? They don't dance anything like that, I don't even think they are so big on dancing. As far as them doing their thing in the middle of traffic, have you ever been in an alleycat? I would say the things that go down in a race are FAR more ******** than some kids dancing in the street. I wouldn't even say I am all that proud of oakland, but it is a decent place to live, and there are tons of decent people who live here. To say the whole city should be bombed is pretty stupid, and I doubt it's something you would say in person.
