Well kids, I finally finished my Lemond Maillot Jaune build up project I've have been working on that seems like months and months... and after 2 rides of about 50 miles total.. I must say... that bike ROCKS ! it is soo smooth... the acceleration on it is great... and I absolutely love the STI shifting.. it sure beats the heck outta the 6 speed downtubes I was rockin before.... I can't wait to go back out again !
I just want to say thanks for all the help and encouragement ya'll gave me in the past few months, with all my questions about random junk... thru your help and encouragement, I built up everything on the bike myself (except wheels, and headset).. I'm not sure if i coulda done it without you guys !
Thanks

I will hopefully have one later this week... I tried using the digicam on my cell phne.. but the quality is crap... so I'm gonna bring my bike into work, and shoot it with the camera I use everyday for our catalog products :-)

Congrats on the new build-up.
My current ride is a 2001 LeMond Zurich w/full Ultegra. LeMond makes some sweet rides!

I must say.. i love the Ultegra... goign from a 6 speed downtube setup to 9 speed STI is amazing.. although I'm still tryng to keep myself from reaching down when I have to shift ;-)

I emailed the guy and asked him how much he'd want to end the auction early, etc and he really, really likes his frame even though it was listed without a reserve price. I'm going to watch it over the next few days and see how the bids go on it.
In the mean time I'm lacking a rear derailleur (which is on the way), STI shifters (also on the way) and a chain (will buy at LBS) from having a full ultegra group. I'll be building up LeMonster with it as the parts arrive. I told Donna that I was going to list my K2 on Ebay because I knew once I start riding the Lemond the K2 won't get any use :) All of the $$$ from the sale of the K2 goes into Project Zurich.

If I hadn't sold my BA I wouldn't have this problem....

looks like a good deal... yeah jsut watch it, and maybe you can get a good deal for sure... another nice thing i put on my new bike is an SRAM powerlink... super easy to take the chain on and off.. I like a sparkling clean chain... adn this seems about the best way to do it.. and only cost about $4 at the LBS :-)
You sound like me talking my wife, Dana, into more bike stuff... I told her I needed a different stem since i bought mine without being fitted, thinking it is 100mm standard kidna sizing... and it's not too bad... just a hair long, and a hair too low... she flipped.. "you just spent $800 on parts, and it doesn't fit you ?!?!?!" I had to calm her down and tell her I'd get a new one,a nd then sell the 2 I have... she was better after that
now i'm trying to fix up my old Centurion, that I had been riding, for Dana, with new pedals, since Dana is afraid of clipless pedals... now maybe she can ride with me :-)
I hope anyway
Jeff
