Tandem Cycling - What's the best site(s) to list a tandem for sale?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Looking to sell my 2005 Co-Motion Speedster with S&S couplers. This is a beautiful bike with a custom fade paint job, but my wife just hasn’t been enamored with cycling. We have traveled with it twice to Europe, Tuscany and Dordogne, and the S&S couplers made air and ground travel very convenient. I’m looking for the best website(s) to list this beauty, and would appreciate suggestions. The bike is a small frame (I’m 5’10”, she’s 5’2”) equipped with a Wound Up carbon tandem fork, 700 cm Bontrager Tandem Wheels, Chris King headset, Arai drum break, front and rear dual-pivot Ultegra brakes front and rear, bull horn bars for the stoker. I’m also selling two hard travel cases and the paraphernalia for travel.
Selling this bike is going to hurt, as I was really hoping that we'd find it a mutually enjoyable activity. Any suggestions on where to list would be greatly appreciated.

Word of caution on listing tandem for sale online.
You will likely get some scammers pulling the so-called Nigerian scam . . . 'have a customer wants your bike, will send you check for X-thousands more than what you ask . . .' etc, etc.
If you are in a fairly large metro area the local Craig's list gets
surprising coverage and is worth a trial. Larger bike clubs
frequently have for sale sections for members. Both will troll
fairly local buyers, obviating the shipping and viewing conundrum.

We bought our Co-Pilot from the tandemmag website. It should be easy to sell because you can easily ship it.

Hmm, your wife not enamored with cycling, yet you have taken it to Europe twice? Apparently you truly love cycling to go to that effort.
Sorry to hear your stoker doesn't love it. But it is good you have identified it is not an activity for the two of you. Good luck on finding someone who can give it the love it deserves.

It sounds like the dream tandem for my wife and I. It was what I wanted to buy, but not knowing how we would take to tandem riding, we went the cheaper Cannondale road route as a first tandem to see if we'd like it. The S&S couplers and the luggage are awesome, it sounds like an amazing machine. Good luck selling it.

Thanks for all the advice and the condolences. I've already had a number of inquiries after listing it on tandemmag.com. It is a great bike and will be wonderful for whomever buys it.

Do you still have your coupled tandem for sale? We are headed to Europe in 8 weeks to tour, and actively seeking out a tandem for this purpose. Thank you. jim

Sell the wife - Keep the Tandem. Seriously - I have used ebay with no issues.

You sold your wife on ebay with no issues?
Of course; there are thousands of single men out there looking at Ebay.
I've heard the system doesn't work so well - if you bid low on a few items you can end up with a hareem by accident. Also there's the practical issue of what happens if the wife puts the husband up for sale and doesn't get any buyers. :)
