Folding Bikes - Saw this on Craigslist today and picked it up

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It was advertised as a 1996 Bike Friday no seat or post, I did get a Kalloy post but it doesnt have the bracket pieces can those be bought seperately? Anyways I cleaned it up and havent been able to ride it but it sure is a nice bike. I remember a customer coming into our business with one of these in the mid nineties and I was smitten with it. Any recommendations on upgrades?
The first upgrade I suggest is to turn the handlebars right side forward. ;)

Thanks, Gang-this gave me the only chuckle I had out of a totally miserable day.

Some people think that by turning the fork that way, you achieve better stability; I think it's the "negative trail" argument. They look better the other way though.
BF seatposts either use binder bolts or seatpost collars - nothing too exotic that you can't find at an lbs or online.
Lastly, how the hell are you finding such great deals? I wish I could get all my bikes through craigslist.

Thank you I felt like it was Christmas, I called within minutes of the ad being posted and commited to it sight unseen.
Oh you are one lucky fellow. Didn't you just take possession of 2 Raleigh 20" a week or so ago? I basically reside on CL myself but can't find those deals like you are finding. Got any tips?

I check the cities within a 300 mile driving distance, I live in Lynden,Wa. Vancouver B.C. is 60 miles to the north, Seattle is 100 miles miles to the south and Portland is 300 miles south. I have looked further and ask if they would ship.

So did I tell you about the beater Twenty I got for Twenty.
I bought a Raleigh kids MTB and used the brakes, levers and front wheel for the Twenty.
I can imagine a rapidly growing pile of 1/2-complete bikes at your premises... :) The R20 seatpost size is 28.6mm, straight-forward to get.

When did you come to visit I must have missed you.:D Yes my daughter counted 21 bicycles yesterday. I had to clean the garage yesterday to get them to fit, and I have some down in the basement also.
