Been mostly lurking these forums for a long time now, and occasionally posting. Figured it's time to introduce myself. I'm 22 6'2" and I'm not sure how much I weigh, probably between 230 and 250. I've been cycling for something like 4 months now maybe.. I keep terrible track of time. Anyway I ride an '06 Scott Speedster S20. Ended up spending about triple my original budget on it, but I think it was definitely worth it.
I went on my longest ride yet today, 51 miles. :D Took a bunch of pictures along the way too.

Leaving the city:

On top of a bridge.. I really like this photo:

Battleship park on the causeway:

My arrival at the eastern shore:

Back onto the causeway to cross the bay again:

There are always people fishing here. I wouldn't eat anything that came out of the bay though, it's quite badly contaminated with mercury among other things.

Bay bridge take two:

The fun part.. Descending.

It was a fun ride, but I probably should have had more than just a banana and two gatorades on the trip.. I started to feel extremely worn out on my way back. Plus the heat index was in the low hundreds.
Oh yeah, here's the map of my ride: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/al/mobile/547423243
