Why not just buy a bike to leave there? then it will always be there...
I do exactly that with my dad in LA. But when I go visit him, I always drive down, carrying my Ti in the car ... go figure.

My Dad was going to do that but I talked him out of it.

Well you should do it...you can prob get a deal on something that is rideable for you...then you never have to worry about transport...just think of the hassles getting to the airport..now add a bike to that...buy a cheapie for the couple of times a year you are there!

Mary;
A few questions;
1. That's like what, a 12 inch frame? Is your dad a dwarf?
2. What's all that bizarre green stuff in the photos?
3. Why did you rent a Taurus?
4. Did you take the last train? And if so, how will you get back?

You are so funny. You really like me and it shows. :p. Okay, so answers to your questions:
1. Or 10" for all I know. Yes, my dad is a dwarf. Are you making fun of dwarfs? What did a dwarf ever do to you? By the way, the PC name is "Little People."
2. T-R-E-E-S - prounounced Trayees. ;)
3. Cause the shaking in the frame and motor when I start it gets me excited...in ways I should never admit on an open forum. :p
4. I flew. Fly. :rolleyes: :p ;)

Always good to be home, no matter how stressful or crazy family may drive you. Enjoy the time you have there!!
Now show us where you had your first boyfriend, the bleachers under which you first kissed, and that empty liquor store parking lot where in the backseat . . . . :)

Damn boy - could have at least had the decency to take you somewhere nice!! ;)
So are there any childhood/high school friends that are still in Clarksville and never left . . . perhaps the one that picked on you but is not working at the local video store and weighs 500 pounds?

:lol: Silly, a loss of a purse is not traumatic. ;)
As for friends, I've been gone too long and their lives have moved on...so, no, no such respite. ;)

ME: Where your folks live remind me of where my folks are - Oxford, Mississippi. Awwww Summer! 90 degrees and 100% humidity (nothing like a great, scary summer thunderstorm is there?)!!! Great for staying indoors.
I hate going home. I struggle with my weight as it is and my mom gets up and every morning makes patty sausage, red eye gravy and bisquits. It's really good the first day or two and then I just have to ignore it. Going home, especially to the South means fried chicken, red eye gravy, fried catfish and lemon ice box and coconut cake. I have no idea how my folks stay so slim.
Hope you had a nice visit.

Thanks, Pam! :) And you nailed it - although I have my parents converted. My mom made me oatmeal this morning! As for the thunderstorms, I'm hoping we get a few - just NOT a tornado. Today is sunny though and it's going to be hot and sticky.

I'm now headed out to take my mom's little demon dog for a walk and then my sister and I are going for a 5 mile ride!!! Yippee - 5 miles! Oh, and we swam this morning. I'm basically completing a 1/8 triathlon today. :p

I'm lying in bed at the Comfort Inn in Charleston, MO. My sister and mother are in the other bed. I've seen my Grandma (88 and going strong - I sure love her), several cousins (one I didn't even knew I had) and had a terrible fight with my sister (sigh). We had dinner at Boomland - FRIED CHICKEN with all the fixins. Only thing missing is my Dad and a tornado. But the sky here over the corn fields is clear. Typical visit. All of you are gonna beat my miles...

All of you are gonna beat my miles...Yep, for sure! I've just recently moved past the 1k miles mark. Only another 2820k to beat yours. ;) :lol:
Gravy w/fries, gravy/fried chicken, yummy! Fight with sister = exercise. I have 4 older sisters, so that my primary form of exercise when I was in Toronto; but I still gained 10 lbs in 1 week!
Hmm, I think I'll just hop over to popeye chicken on the way back home.
Enjoy your stay with your family and have fun!

Thank you, Dave. I was a little depressed, but your post just dissolved that! ;). BTW, Popeyes ain't got **** on Boomland's fried chicken. Just sayin'. :D
Hi M.E. I didn't have fried chicken, but I had the San Diego equivalent... a huge plate of nachos. :D

Sorry to hear about your tiff with your sis ... hope it all works out later. As far as passing you mileage-wise, I don't know about that. You still have a huge advantage over the rest of us. I doubt I'll be passing you up any time soon.
