Southern California - Giro Recovery

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Tracy organized a recovery ride from yesterday's Giro ride. It was Tiffanie, VMC, Tprevost, and spingineer. Some pics (I'm the one taking pics, so no pics of me).

On the Giro... bad day... there were some teensy steep rollers at the beginning and when those were trouble, I knew it was gonna be a long day  So, we ended up doing the two major climbs and then turning back instead of doing the extra loop... I think it was like 70 miles and 6300 feet of climbing... but I just couldn't get it together  I felt entirely different today though... even though my legs were trashed, I felt good... gotta wonder! :o

I had a really bad day though :o I was rested and should have felt okay but had nothing.... frustrating! Like I said, today's ride was great... even though my legs were toasted, I was still able to stand on some hills and keep a relatively decent pace... wish I could switch the days! :p
