DS seems uncomfortable in his trailer with his helmet. The trailer converts to a stroller so he has been in it without a helmet before (when we bike he ALWAYS has his hemet on). Being as he's so young (17 months) and short, his head doesn't go above the top of his seat so his head and neck are thrust forward b/c of the helmet. Are there any suggestions on what I can do? Would it be safe to roll up a towel behind him to scootch him forward a bit?
I don't own a trailer myself. However, I do know Wike trailers have an optional scoot-forward thingie that would work like a rolled up towel. Or you could get a rounder helmet that doesn't protrude as much backward.

Use a helmet with less of a point on the rear or put a towel behind his back to gain the proper clearance he needs.
