Yo!
Just registered, thought I'd say hey.
I'm not really 'new' to cycling, as I biked quite a lot before I got my driver's license... lapsed through most of my later teens and early 20s, returned to it a little over a year ago. (I'm 29 now.)
Only recently have I really started to take an interest in the maintenance/mechanics of bikes. I traded in my old Magna piece-of-crap from Target for a mid-80s Bianchi roadbike. Modded it into a 7 speed with some home-made bullhorn bars, and it's now my daily commuter vehicle.
I also just got a Giant MTB which I plan to fix up into my urban warrior bike, as the streets of San Francisco are rather unforgiving on my Bianchi.

Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
