Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I have to hand it to the Endeavour guys. They put on a really nice criterium every year. Lots of parking, fast course, well organized. Thanks.
We went around in ovals. I had much more fun this time around. I got in a short-lived break, went for a prime, stayed mostly in the top 1/3rd of the pack (except for the lap where I overshot a turn, went down a ditch, up the other side, back down, back up, and managed to catch on to the tail end of the group - whee). And I even saw the sprint.
All in all I managed to have more fun and suck less than I normally do. Lowered expectations are awesome.
That is all.

Why thank you.

So did I. I didn't see Cromulent there. I believe he did the Masters 4/5.
Endeavour had a plan for the 4/5 race. Since we had so many guys we figured we could get to the front during the pre-finish lull and drill the pace and keep anyone from attacking by keeping the pace high. Then our sprinter in reserve would sprint off to a glorious win. In reality, only about half of us made it there. One guy was crashed out. One was stuck behind a crash, and a couple just didn't have the gas. We were left with 3 people to make the pace. We kept it high for a couple of laps, but we didn't have enough gas to keep it high enough. With half a lap to go, a group of 10 or so came flying past. I was running on empty at that point, having thoroughly spent all my matches trying to keep up the pace. I managed to cross the line in 15th. I think our designated sprinter managed 6th or so.

Yes you did. I talked to you after your race. At least I thought it was you. It's hard to recognized people without their helmets and sunglasses on. :D

Yes, I meant I didn't see you in the 4/5 race. That was me.

Good. Then I'm not just wandering up to random people and talking at them for no reason whatsoever. I feel better now.

I'll post some more later. But I had to share this one right away. That's me on the front stringing things out. Go me.

Incidentally, these are the last photos of this bike in action that will exist. The bike is now dead. A crack developed in the seatpost binder area. Probably because I was pedalling so hard.

No. Kestrel Talon. A little over one year old. It's under warranty, so I'll be getting a new one free. Yay warranties.

By amazing coincidence all the best pictures prominently feature me. Imagine that.

Thanks for the quick response -- I should have waited for the second set of pictures (or examined the first more closely!). Best of luck with the warranty replacement.

It would be quite difficult to determine what frame it was from the first pic. I never exercise any restraint in my posting anyway. Post away!

Nope, I think it's been growing for months.
