Recumbent - Ouchies

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

   I crashed my bent.
First time out after painting it I hit some black ice in a corner... next thing you know I was sitting on my @$$ on the road.
Only minor road rash on the butt... the bike suffered a smashed shifter and I bent the pivot for the underseat steering, this crimped the main tube.
But it's all fixed now:D :D :D The bike that is my butt still hurts.

Didn't use plans... I looked at a lot of information online and pretty much made it up as I went along:crash:
This site inspired my design... check out bike No 2 it's the one I studied most.
Other than that try Home Built (http://www.recumbents.com/home.htm) or do a search for home built recumbent on Google. :D
When I get some pics of mine I will post them but it might be a little while yet.
