I have a race mate who'm I talked to lately. He had a championship race lately and he felt out of the ordinary. He told me he tried microhydrin for the 2 weeks before the events, while preparing for it.

It is said to have incredible antioxydant properties and an alkalizing effects on the organism, thus helping maintainnng cortisol levels low. Anyone knows about that stuff or tried it?

seems harmless enough to try. the in vitro studies look good from chemist's point of view but that doesn't mean in vivo (human studies) will correlate. Haven't seen any good clinical trials with large enough number of human subjects and good design protocols that really evaluate athletic preformance. (Unlike creatine) The small number of studies with humans measuring ph of urine, serum lactic acid levels etc. looked good but I cannot find the actual study design. The guy who beat a 29 yr old ethopian in one of the major marathons was 44 yrs old (andry kuznetsov) swears by it.

Can't really offer any other comment other than my take on the data that I see looking with my medscape search engine.

oops sorry, it's a medical web site, (not search engine) that seems to be restricted to physicians, clinical specialists etc. (we have to sign on with state license numbers etc.)

I've tried posting links in other threads and forum members have told me they can't get access. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it some day.
