Hi all,
I recently bought a used '99 Cannondale v400. The bike runs great, but I noticed two problems that have me concerned:
1. There is creaking when I put pressure on the rear shock. The shock is Fox Vanilla, I think it came stock with the bike. The creaking goes away if I loosen the spring, but then the spring starts clunking, so I don't think that's a solution.
2. There is a slight clicking noise when I turn the handlebars left or right. It kind of sounds like the shifter cables or brake cables, but I am not sure that's the problem.
I am supposed to pick up a repair stand tonight, and hopefully will be able to diagnose these a little better, but if someone has this bike and has an idea of what could be happening, please post.
TIA
