Hi all
I have a 1983 Tom Ritchey Commando mountain bike and I am trying to get an idea how much I could sell it for. It is in very good condition. The frame , as far as I know, was hand built by Tom Ritchey. Fork is Japanese, I believe. All of the parts are Shimano Deore XT black finish non SIS. Rithchey bullmoose handlebars. Black Araya bolt-on hubs. I realize that by not attaching a photo I am asking for a crap shoot, but any ideas would be welcome. Thanks !

Hi Jack,

Would it be possible to email a photo(s) or post some to this thread?

A few questions:
- seat tube length, from center of bottom bracket to center of top tube?

- does it have rear canti brakes or chainstay u-brake/rollercam?

- serial number?

Thanks Jack. If you'd like to talk about it off-line, PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

Will try to post a photo when my daughter can take a picture with the digital camera. As soon as I have a chance, I will look at the bike and give you the other info. Thanks for your interest.

What's that all about?

It's so you can lower the saddle (for a steep downhill) and it will spring back to your preferred setting automatically. It also makes a nice theft deterrent if you're sporting a Brooks!
