Mountain Biking - cheap but good auto rack

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Im looking for a cheap convenient car rack for my accord. I like the trunk mount racks and they seem to be cheap.
Any suggestions as to what to get, used or new, and prices that I can expect would be helpful.
Thanks in advanced

I just purchased the 'Mo Joe from Yakima and took it with two bikes from Phx to Orange County and back with zero problems on the back of my Cherokee. I reached speeds of 90mph. My experience with racks for the back of vehicles (I also used to use a Graber rack that fit on the rear spare on my Jeep Wrangler) is that use common sense. They (all) need extra tie downs.
All the reviews I read prior to purchase (the negative ones anyway) were all about the bikes "falling off" mysteriously. I always just put extra tie downs on the outside bike for extra security. Never had one leave me yet and I've put some miles on them.
The Yakima system for holding the bikes in position is great too. At one point I had the liftgate in the full open position, perpendicular to the ground, and the bikes were not touching. You can adjust how far or how close they are easily.
Most models of the "joe" are below $100 but there are more pricey brands available. No experience with those though.
Hope this helps.

Another thing to think about... I know you just bought the rockhopper, but think about if you are ever or might ever upgrade your bike... not all racks fit all frames.... if you ever go to full suspension, you could have issues. So try and find a rack that is very adjustable.

I purchased the Allen A103 trunk rack and it's been great. Easy to use, takes only seconds to install and folds up flat when you need to store it. Buy a couple bungee cords to fasten your bike(s) to it and away you go. I searched on google for it and found a few links, one of them being the following if you want to see a picture of it:

Whatever you do... DONT buy a cheap rack. Mine has destroyed the paint job on my bike, and the straps are broken.. total piece of junk. It's a Rhode Gear that I got off Ebay for like 50 bucks.. dunno what the hell I was thinking. I'm going to spend a little bit more this time.

yeah i know what you mean i got a cheap rhode gear trunk rack, and i must say i hate trunk racks. can't trust it, hassle to set up.
Yep.. and the last thing I want to worry about cruising on the interstate at 80 MPH is my bike flying off the back. Terrible drivers and bad weather are hard enough to deal with :D
So it sounds like you all hate the trunk racks.... uhhh, what are my other options, and do I have other options under 150 bucks?
Either trunk or roof mount is really all you can get for an Accord, because I doubt you have a 2" receiver hitch.
