I went to Goodwill yesterday morning before work to buy a cool old saddle and some bike bottles I'd seen the day before.

I milled about for a bit, making sure I hadn't missed anything,(which I hadn't) and got into line behind a woman who was returning this bike because it apparently needed too much work and she didn't have the money to put into it. Of course my radar went haywire! I almost bought it off her myself, but as I was on my bike and it was rather early, I couldn't quite figure out how to get the thing home. So she returned the bike, I bought my stuff, and then I checked the big bike out. 58 cm for sure, too big for me, but still...$20? Looked okay to me. I thought about nothing else during my shift, then after I was done with work I made two phone calls.
"Hi honey, want to pick me up and go to Goodwill?..."
"Hi, Goodwill? Is that big blue bike still there?...can you hold it for half an hour?...Thank you!"
SCORE!! I was going to flip it and pay for parts for my Fuji, but then the wife started thinking...and now it's hers ;) (She's six-feet tall, so it may actually fit her!) $1 per pound, BTW!
