View Full Version : New to the street scene. Help me out
Well I used to race bmx a year or two back on my 03 Diamondback RM20. I've recently began interested in the street/park scene and bought myself a MirraCo Black Pearl 3. I love it so far but like I said, i'm new to the street scene. I know most basics of jumping since I used to race, but as far as tricks/stunts/w/e you wanna call them go, the only thing i pretty much know is a turndown just from racing. I can bunnyhop about 6 inches high w/o clips and just need to know where to go from there and what I need to work on.
Thanks to all who reply.

I'm dreading trying them. I know I'll probably hurt myself.

Yep, I have many a time. I'm actually finally getting rid of my Jimmy levan seat soon in place of a S&M one (the one which comes on the street flow) so I should be able to learn them more easily

Well I just got a Macneil Stump post and Macneil Capital seat... I'll have to see how it feels, but chances are I will not be pinching my seat.

That's what I'd like in a ideal world but things don't all go to plan. I actually think they look smoother with a grip of the seat. Not like Nyquist though. Ewww

Yeah, I don't even know if I'll be able to work up the courage to try them.

HOLY LIVING ****.
Maniac.
So good.
I don't care how bad the song was or how many tailwhips/barspins he did. He's a ****ing ape.

Wow. Can you say best video part ever? He spins so fast, and those tailwhips he does are crazy. One of the whoppers he did he barely even hopped for. Those hop 3's over things and up things were insane. He even did an opposite hop 3 at the end. Best video part I've ever seen.
Also, Kinetik, the music was ace.
the music was tight and that video all togeth was sick but i really was feeling the yellow bike with blue rms and bars

As was I. His bike is making me reconsider my purple color scheme to try to throw in some vibrant yellow.

His yellow bike with the blue rims is sooo nice. I love the huge walltap gap thing like 1 minute 30 seconds into it. And the 360 down the stairs. And the whole video.

Yeah that was pretty sick too. I happened to like the huge tailwhip down like the 20-step.

Have you watched the rest of the Chillbro stuff? Well good. It's got all the parts on there

Yeah, I did. Everything was sick except Joel Moody's part. He did some cool stuff but he did wayyy too many hang-fives.

He's soo repetitive. Table, Turndown, 360, 360 table, table, turndown etc..

Chase Hawk's part was still pretty sick in my opinion.
