Hello. I'm Martin from Manchester in the UK. I'm an aspiring photographer and photographic assistant, always ridden bikes, mainly BMX but have just converted a cheap road bike to single speed freewheel.

Love all the things that are happening in the forums, I've been lurking for a few days. Keeps me busy reading it all as it has been raining pretty solidly for the past three weeks.

Cheers

Martin

Hello Martin--you aren't related to me, are you? (see my signature :) ). I'm originally from Swinton, by the way. As to the rain--well, that's to be expected in Manchester, even at this time of year!

Have you got a website so we can see your work? Do you commute on your bike?

Welcome to BF!

Hi Martin,

I too are originally from England, in the Suffolk area. On one of my bike trips up north I rode snakes pass from Glossop to Sheffield. What an awesome ride!

Anyway, welcome to the forums.

East Hill - I could well be, quite a lot of family in Lancashire :D. Yeah, the rain is pretty normal, infact the sun has come out now!

Umm, yeah, if you look at www.herearephotos.co.uk or www.flickr.com/photos/wooscary (shameless plug!).

Due to being freelance I don't have a set commute, and sadly when I do work I tend to have to be carrying a lot of heavy lighting kit around so I run a car for that, but am looking in to bio diesel ATM.

Brad - Thanks for the welcome, the rain is supposed to stop by the end of the week.

Derek - Aha, cool, I've never ventured in to Suffolk but know snakes pass well for driving over, never ridden it yet but plan to this summer, I know a group of people around Marple who do it on fixies so should be interesting.
