Introductions - Another Canadian, eh? *-)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey everybody!! I just joined this forum and it's great. Everybody has loads of advice, the people are friendly, great community here! Anyways, I'm from Richmond Hill, Ontario, just north of Toronto. I'm a XC rider, well, sort of... I don't shave my legs, or wear lycra. I even do a fair amount of jumping and stunts, although I'm not the greatest at them. I just enjoy riding in general. Is there any other vehicle that is so versatile, practical and fun? Anyways, I'll be checking out the posts quite a lot now that I have registered. Have a great time everyone, espacially on the trails....

Oh yeah, and if you couldn't guess it, I ride a Norco (Canadian pride, lol, that's not why I bought the bike, but hey, they make real good bikes) Wolverine, 2000. Sure, it's not great, I've replaced almost all the components now, the chain rings are worn to the point where all the teeth look like shark fins, but the frame is still good to go after many, many, many hard hits with curbs, small doubles, roots and ruts. It's my first real bike, don't even ask what my first multispeed bike was, it sucked. It was a CCM, enough said (so much for that Canadian pride, lol). But hey, it's not all about the bike, it's about the trails and the rides....
