I'd like to say Robbie McEwen but he seems only able to win it on even years (02, 04, 06). Maybe Thor is going to take it back from him? Personally, I think Oscar Freire has the greatest pure ability for the green jersey but for some reason something always goes wrong for him so I don't think he'll take it.
I guess I'm gonna go with McEwen but his history says he'll have to wait till next year. ;)

Robbie - maybe for the last time in his career though.
Robbie will take it.
He's an angry little pit bull and has a cruel nature - He called his son Ewan....

I want Zabel. I think Thor or Robbie. Doesnt thor like the longer sprints? You can never count out Robbie. I wouldnt mind seeing Oscar win it.

Petacchi
That'd be a feat.
(Robbie)
yeah. my guess would have been petacchi yesterday. not so much today.
Boonen seems like a nice guy, so i'll pull for him, but in all likelihood Robbie M will take it.

Boonen needs high speeds to win so he's toast without Petacchi's train to wind up the sprint; so does Hushovd. This one comes down to Robbie over O'Grady.

He'd had to take one out of McEwen's playbook. "I'm going to ride my own little Tour de France on this side of the street!"
I think you all know what I'm talking about. :D

It's amazing that at 35, he's still one of the three best sprinters in the world.

Thor. I'm picking him for Saturdays Prolog as well.
Zabel. Out to prove something one last time. Doping did not not get him all those victories. His drive did.

That would be amazing (I'd cheer my head off), but the guy has the worst luck so it'll never happen. Did you see the time when he got taken out by a horse? What are the odds?!
Thor will use his hammer to smash the competition. He will brign the green jersey home to his father Zues and present it to him.

I hope your aren't trying to say that Thor wasn't a Norse God and was invented by Marvel comics.

nope, he'd have more personality if that was the case.

I could see him winning a stage or possibly two, but lasting at the front of the sprinters for an entire 3-week race? I don't think he's there.

Thanks, Chief.
And I was the only one here to pick O'Grady to win Roubaix.
Haedo will take second to Ivan Dominguez. The green jersey 3rd place will go to carpediemracing, after a close battle with Big Maggie on the Via Roma.

It helped that O'Grady actually started PR.
Robbie. Chris pulls him up to the lead group, Robbie snakes his way through the peleton in the final 2K, waits until the last 100, pulls of the Cloak of Invisibility, and hits the gas.
Friere is out with the same cyst that kept him out 2 yrs ago.
Robbie has to be the favorite, but I'll root for Thor and Zabel. But Zabel might be trying to lead out Ongarato or someone else from Milram.

+1 that guy races all year long. I bet he has given more samples than anyone. While most are off training in Spain and specializing in a few races, he was racing.
I didnt see Zabel on the start list for Milram...
Oscar gots a cyst, so he will most liekly not finish, but a stage win would be cool.

Oh, what the heck, I'll take Cavendish. A green rider for the green jersey.
I want a new Italian.

By deduction:
1) Need to see Paris to take jersey.
Cross off: Ale Jet, Oscar, and Boonen
2) Need to have speed after some very long stages
Cross off: Haedo (for now...see his TOC rides).
That leaves Thor, Erik, Stuey and Robbie. Thor hasn't shown any form this season, Zabel is an also-ran at this point. Even chance that Stuey will be called into service for CSC's GC guy.
He's still winning, Cadel's not going to have him run down a break, and he's shown form all spring.
Robbie.

Zabel might make it a lil interesting if he tries to get into early mountain breaks after the gruppeto forms. He climbs a whole lot better than most of the other sprinters in the peloton and if he plays it smart he could make a nice run for the green jersey.

McEwen headbutts the entire field at the stage 1 stripe then rides Le Grande Boucle solo the rest of the month.
It could happen.
