Everytime I get done with a ride, I think, "Wow! That was the best ride EVER!"

It's always something different... I saw something cool, I was able to go up a big hill, or it was a series of rolling hills and I barely had to pedal. The other morning a deer ran by my side for a really long time.

There have bee days where I almost didn't ride: It was getting dark, I had work to do, etc. etc. But each time, I come back thinking it was the new* Best Ride Ever.

Anyone else have the same experience?

My rides are generally quiet (the way I like it) since I roll between 4AM-6AM. The most excitement I get is counting how many opossum and cats I see. Today a bat followed me for a little while.

i haven,t seen that much in the way of wild life a deer a fox and hundreds of rabbits thought i might have seen a badger by now but no look :(

One interesting thing i did see last week on a longer ride when i got to the top of a particularly long hill was this:

Is that a Clyde painted on that hill? :)

I seen a family of deer yesterday the parents were locked inside a fence and the baby was outside there was only one way out a small gate. I tried to heard them out of the gate but the dad started getting really pissed off at me he started charging me kicking his front legs high in the air. I said oh well you figure it out yourself then :).

I often seen groundhogs, or "grundsows" as a friend calls them. And I recall seeing vultures circling overhead during my metric century on Sunday.

Oh, and Tom's seen a wolf.

This morning, for me, was the best two miles ever. I haven't been on the bike since Sunday due to injury/complications from insanity + mountain bikes :). I was kind of worried if everything would "still work", but it did. Almost in harmony my legs shed the cobwebs they had developed over the past several days, the iPod dished up some good tunes, and the Trek FX just leaped ahead.

Such a grand, normal, dull, morning commute :).

As a sidenote, I reserve the right to call this afternoon's ride the "worst ride ever" as the forecast holds 93 degrees with 79% humidity for us.. :D

Actually, three, and a lot closer and more personally than I wanted to!

I saw a bald eagle snatch a fish out of the Sammamish River yesterday morning. It swooped down maybe 50 yards in front of me. That was pretty awesome.
