I've asked about this in a different forum, but no bites so far. I'm running disc brakes on a CX frame for my commuter. I originally built my wheels with CXP-22 rims, as they seemed pretty bomb-proof. And I couldn't find ANY information about the A317 Disc.
I never anticipated the roads here would be this bad though. (They're pretty awful in spots). So I'm thinking of bumping up to a 32mm wide tire, and I think I should probably go with a wider rim.
How does the A317 Disc compare to the CXP-22 in terms of durability. It's a tiny bit heavier, but it's also wider...so would the strength difference be a wash? Also, how wide is the A317 Disc exactly? I can't find that on the Mavic website.
