Yeah- find a gym that uses body fat calipers and get one of the trainers to measure you. Ask them how many sites they measure- the more sites they measure, the more accurate the body fat analysis is. So, if they take it from 3 sites, it's not as unreliable as if they take it from 5, and if they take it from 7 sites, then that's more accurate than taking it from 5.

You can also call the local universities in the area and find a kinesiology department with an underwater weighing system, and for a fee, they'll test your body fat that way- it is more expensive than the bodyfat caliper testing, but it is definitely more accurate.

They have these electronic scales, and you can get that to test your bodyfat. I would warn you, though, that if you have a higher percentage of muscle, or if you are retaining water for some reason or another, it can throw up the conductivity of the electrical charge of the scale, which would result in a much higher number. These scales tend to be very sensitive, so I don't trust them very much.

Three methods of testing for bodyfat.

Get a product called the fattraker II, most GNC like stores sell them, they are the best 3 position calipers that I have seen, plus they track your progress.

Just remeber that no mater how many times you use a fat caliper it will never be truly accurate, just keep your form in measuring consistant and you can referance the lost fat from your previous readings.

I measured mine at a local gym, you held it out at armslength, input your height, weight and age, then pressed go.

I was 21% (over average by a LOT)
my friend was 7% (he is a body builder and takes creatine)
