Fell into a large hole today in my front yard, I was working on our sprinkler system and fell into the hole that I had dug to fix it, seems that I may have possibly tore a ligiment, so for the next 7 days I"m in a knee brace and no movement or bending, so no riding :( next week is going to be a slow week for the miles.

I'm in the same boat. The after-effects of my spill during last weekend's activities certainly aren't terribly serious, but I'm under strict instructions to take it easy for the next several weeks. Lots of chest/torso area bruising and a very real lack of lung capacity aren't making riding very fun.

Oh well.. more days in the year :)

The Doctor just gave me the go ahead to get back on my road bike, no mountain biking for 3 to 6 months. he basically said that if I'm biking I don't need physical therapy :), glad for that. So I'll give it a try tomorrow, I might even be able to get one mile in for the spinner saturday this week :)

Cool beans....start out easy and raise the intensity as you can handle it.....no sense in aggravating the knee!;)

2.5 miles today, after about the first 1/2 mile of pain the knee felt really good, didn't want to push it to hard so I'm guessing I'll get 5 miles for this week, I'm planning on a 2.5 mile day tomorrow :).

I feel for ya, man... I hurt my back last week, didn't really think much of it, and went to play bike polo... wow, that was a bad idea. Now I'm laid up until it gets better; I'd guess about a week.

Oh well - it gives me more time to figure out what bike I want to buy next :-)

So Jaxgtr what was your mileage, I made 6.5 for the week. I think I might try for 40 next week, but that may be pushing it.
