Just wanted to share my wifes' and I experience on our Schwinn tandem. I have to say it is a totally different feeling on one of these! I started being the driver but then I went to the back! What a weird feeling not being in control. It didn't last to long and back to the front I went.
The yellow Schwinn we just bought , so we are selling the brown one.
I know they are not new ones but they sure are fun!!

How old are those bikes? They look like classics to me.
New doesn't equal fun. After all, if it isn't fun, it won't be done!
I keep hearing the Captain suggest that I should learn to do what he does. So far I've refused. I've learned to give up (some) control. Why take it back when I'll just have to give it up again?

Nice looking bikes... I bet they are fun.
Having the capt. stoke.... and the stoker capt... can be very eye opening for both. I think it makes each... better in their "regular" role.

Our first tandem was a Schwinn. Then I got doored and totalled it, and talked the insurance company into replacing it (since Schwinn no longer made tandems) with a Santana. That was a complete revelation. Turned something fun into something amazing.

red- They are a 71 and a 73! Old but still ride great. I guess I have a hard time giving up the control thing also!
I will stay the Captain for now!
