Hey, I'm a Brit living in Canada returning to cycling with a mid-70's Raleigh road bike(all parts are original except for the tires and rear brake pads!).
For now I'm just taking my kid out for trips(his training wheels have just come off and he's already making 10mile runs on his 16" wheeler) but I'm planning on making a project out of my lil' cheap bike not that I have much of a budget but as parts come along I'll upgrade.
I have almost 7 years experience of working in a bike store in the UK but have been "out of the loop" for over a year hence me looking for forums like this :)
