Hi I just started a Challenge Bent Forum on Google Groups.
???
You could have just started a thread here at BikeForums! ;)
The recumbent section could use some more chatter.

I bought my first recumbent sight unseen for $600. I rode it 100 feet and crashed! I immediately hated it!
When I started looking at what might need to be improved, I realized that what needed improving was ME!
After finally getting the hang of it, I thought everybody should try THIS bike out!~I was in LOVE!
Within 6 months, I had converted the front half of my paint shop into a recumbent only bike rental biz~!
That only lasted a year & a half.
That was back in the late 90's. I still have that first recumbent though! I still love it, even if it did cost me over $100,000!
But it's sooo versatile! It can be stripped for racing or loaded for touring! What more could you want from a single bicycle?
BTW, it's a '95 Challenge Hurricane.
Now, if I could only find the tool for the THUN bottom bracket cups!~

Vik didn't like the BROL crowd asking very pointed questions about the (his) new Challenge trike design so he started the group so he could boot the neigh-sayers :p Personally I enjoy intellectual challenges objective forums provide.

Most of the other makes have their own groups, too. I'm in a RANS group and a Baron group. Often, certain models have specific issues, and they're best discussed when there's a concentration of expertise; like for instance the RANS seat pan issue of a few years ago.
I have been looking for a high quality foldable bent and the new challenge looks like it could be the one! However, 16 inch tires seem a bit small. Wonder how it performs? Not cheap but looks imminently travelable!

Huh?...I don't have a Challenge trike and I wasn't part of that Challenge Trike thread. I'm completely baffled by your post. I'm happy to chat about any of my bikes on BROL.
I have also been quite critical of certain aspects of my Taifun and don't have the rose coloured glasses on that some folks seem to have for their bents.

The Mistral has 406 [20"] wheels and should perform very well on anything, but chip seal.

I couldn't figure that post out, either, but was afraid to say so. For all I knew, you ran out and bought a trike, too! :D
