Classic & Vintage - When it Rains, it Pours!!

So look at what I found in my neighborhood today, as I was coming home from scoring a $20 Stealth+4 bike rack at Goodwill:

Like I didn't have enough to do! Looks to me like an '85 or '86. Everything is intact and functional, just needs air, oil, and cleaning to be back in action. What to do with it, though? I could either keep it as a trail bike or convert it into my commuter-it's 8 lbs. lighter than the hefty Huffy, with a better low range (28 vs. 30 on the smallest front ring).
Nice problem to have,isn't it?:D :D :D And now the wife and I each have three bikes-is there a medical term for this affliction?;)

Build it up and find a new keeper for the Huffy. You'll never want to ride it again. :D

Put 590mm slicks on it, and a pair of drops, and you'll have yourself a makeshift 720 :)

Nah. Just a soon-to-be-ex Huffy owner. I have one of those (a '94 model). Great for trail riding and with the right tires, you don't sacrifice a lot riding on the street. You should have plenty of opportunities there in Washington. :)

Nah. Just a soon-to-be-ex Huffy owner. I have one of those (a '94 model). Great for trail riding and with the right tires, you don't sacrifice a lot riding on the street. You should have plenty of opportunities there in Washington. :) I have a set of these on the Hefty now:

I plan to move them over. At $60 per pair, you'd better believe I'm keeping them! My day-to-day riding involves train tracks, curbs, potholes, and gravel paths and lanes, so I'm totally okay with putting good tires on a cheap bike. The line between road and trail can be pretty thin sometimes.
BTW, do you have that same handlebar? How do you like it? I'm on the fence about it, but I know that I need to wait and actually ride the thing before I decide.
