I just turned my rather old Lotus Triomphe into a fixed gear. Thus I've removed the original wheels and replaced them. Now I;m trying to figure out what to do with the wheels, my first idea is to sell but I have no idea what kind of money the wheels might be worth (if any). They are old (early 80's) Campy Crono freewheels (all aluminum) with Record sprockets, and have glued tires and definently have wear but still ride fine.
Now if they aren't worth selling, how do I remove the glued-in tires?? Thanks

Probably not worth selling.

Just keep them as a spare set. You never know when you'll taco a wheel or break some spokes or ..etc.

This usually happens the next ride immediately after getting rid of your spare set of wheels.

If they are old enough(rear hub is a freewheel not freehub) you could redish the rear for fixed use(A fixed cog will spin on and an old English BB will work for a lock ring) and you would need no change for the front.
If the tubulars have been on the rim for a long time you might want to have them checked and reglued.

If they are worth selling, leave the tires on them, and sell them on e-bay. Crono was cheaper than record, bit still pretty good.
If you really need to remove the old tubulars, sometimes a plastic tire lever will help. Never, ever use a screwdriver!
I have an old PX-10 I'm working on right now-do you have a pic of the wheels?
