Where are all the recumbent riders in North Carolina? Also no one sells recumbents in the state? I am stuck!
I cannot try any to see what I like.

We have the same problem here in ND. When I ride I am continually asked "where can I get one of those?" and no one sells bents here. A few of the bike shops will order one for you if you know what you want (what new rider knows that??) but no one stocks them so sales are very low and few people ride them!

Sounds like these recumbent manufacturers need to put some of these bikes on consignment.

scott carries a variety of bikes --will meet you there and spend several hours putting you on different bikes or trikes to try out. he's in a tiny trailer behind sunshine bike shop -- but you test drive in a big parking lot and some back roads.

i got a bacchetta cafe to do touring and riding in the mountains. he suggested i put one lower gear on it and that has done the trick.
