Rideable as of 7-6-07? Dad wants to ride but don't want to drive down if it's flooded.
Thanks,
Zack
Should be rideable as they do a pretty good job keeping it open and accessible. Going out there later today myself.

I'm heading out right now. I'll be on a Scott CR1 with a white sleeveless and white helmet. (check the sticky above pics)
See ya out there
I hope so, I'm headed there after work.
It was fine wed, although since you're gone I guess this response doesn't matter.

Had a great ride. Just a couple spots with water as usual. Can't believe how much debris is everywhere!

OK, I'm an idiot. :) Please help me. I've heard so much about the trail around Whiterock lake but have never been there. I'm up in McKinney. WHere is the best access to the trail?
Also, any flooding on the trail?
Personally, I think the trail itself going to the lake kinda sucks for anything above a pokey pace. I enjoy the route around the lake which is 10mi if you include some hills in the neighborhoods. I usually park somewhere on Lawther, near Mockingbird. So I guess google maps lawther and mockingbird and you'll know where it is :)

ILFB if you want to hit the lake today, lemme know. I'm heading out later after I finish work.

Best access is in the park one block North of LBJ on Hillcrest. Look for the park on the East side off Hillcrest. The path starts along the south side of the park and runs seven miles down to WhiteRock Lake. The trip around the lake is about 10 miles. You can also get on the trail at any off the soccer field parking lots just South off LBJ on the road that runs along the West side of Medical City. I'll ride it in the morning if it doesn't rain. Look for the Red Roubiax!

Friday, 10:45pm.
I'll be leaving the office in just a few minutes and riding down WRCT from Royal Ln. If there's anything that would hinder a morning ride, I'll post it when I get home.

Okay, so it took me a little longer than I thought to actually leave work.
Most of the trail is fine. The only part that got a little squirrelly was the section between Skillman and Lawther. There are a few patches of water and mud along there. Not enough to stop you from riding through, but extra caution is needed to keep from washing out.
