Tour de France top 10 competion.

Since JKOMan appears to be substantially absent, I’ll restart this annual Bikeforums competition.

As in last year:
2 points for each top 10 pick that makes it into the top 10
The following points for exact placement:

Yellow:
1st 10
2nd 9
3rd 8
4th 7
5th 6
6th 5
7th 4
8th 3
9th 2
10th 1

In order to reward close but not exact picks (i.e. you missed the bullsey, but got the next ring), points will be awarded for the riders points for that PREDICTED placement minus 1 point for each position off. (i.e., you pick Lepheimer for 4th, if he gets 3 you get 7-1=6 points for position plus 2 for being in the top 10 for a total of 8; or if he gets 7th you get 7-3= 4 points plus 2 for being in the top 10 for a total of 6).

Once you pick, you can change till a stage starts (i.e. typos, ommissions, or you just rethought and concluded McEwen is not the right pick for polka dots second, or Rassmussen probably won’t win that time trial you picked him to win), but no changes once a stage starts-not even later stage pick changes.
If you guy breaks his collar bone or just drops bad, too bad but you still have you other soldiers carrying on.

Regular entry deadline-start of stage 2 (so if you miss the Prologue and stage 1 starts you merely are forgoing opportunities for stage pick bonus).

Latejoiners: 2 point penalty per stage start time commencing with the start of stage 2
You must have your entry in before stage START to get that stage’s points (as well as beat the incrementing of the 2 point late entry penalty).
