Man I wish I was able to make it, I love their jerseys and I heard their bibs are pretty decent. Bummed that I'm up in the Seattle area now....
I am contemplating a new job is north SD. How is the cycling there? Does it get too hot? I'm becoming a heat wuss.

North SD cycling is the best in the world. Ask anybody from here. It doesn't get too hot...unless it's July and August, and you're inland, and there's Santa Ana winds coming in from the desert, or there's a brushfire.

You get used to the heat, so much so that you won't ride in the cold. Thats me for sure. I'm out there riding at 100*+ in esco but you won't see me out there at 50* BURRRR

When it gets above 80, I start to wilt. But I've been known to ride in the high 20's bundled up.

I think I'm gonna try to make a run for it after work tomorrow. (get off at 12:30). Anybody have an opinion if it's really worth it (I really just need a pair of shorts, the free gloves, and maybe another jersey) if the drive is almost 2 hours from my work, and an hour back up to my wife's work where I'll be meeting her for the evening?

Somebody just buy a bunch of stuff, then keep it in your trunk and resell it to BF'ers at group rides. I wear size L, and I like Stone beer.

If you're not so picky, that would cost you $5+$10 (solid jersey) = $15. I'd buy more stuff personally. The last two times I went there, I bought $60 worth of stuff. Think of it like going to Costco. Stock up and then you won't have to drive down for the next few.

Good way of putting it efficiency, and thanks for letting me know the approximate prices. I would like 8 panel shorts, so any deal on those would be saving money. That's indeed a deal to stock up with.
I'd pick up a large beer jersey for Mo Phat if (1) I thought I'd meet him some time this century, and (2) I knew what stone beer was.

Ah, I see. So if you know how I could get the jersey to you, I'll pick one up if they have it. But I live waaaaaaay north of you. You're right by that place, so I assume you just have a full schedule.

Thanks urbanknight, for the kind and generous offer, but fuggitaboutit. I don't need another Arrogant ******* jersey.

Are the bibs decent? I need another pair. I have a pair of the bottom of the barrel canari shorts and they generally suck.
Their jerseys totally rock though. I am going to stock up on those for sure.

They only had a couple of printed bibs @ $35. They had long bib tights - not sure what the selection was or price.
I got 2 of the 3 things I wanted. A white jersey and a pair of mountain biking shorts. I was looking for another set of bibs too but didn't want the printed ones.

Hmmm. Also do they take Credit Cards and/or checks? or is it cash only.
How was the jersey selection?

Credit cards OK. Jersey selection was, I think, 2 racks with 4 bars (s, m, l, xl+) each. I think each bar was about 6' long. 1 rack had plain, the other printed. I think they bring out more stuff but am not sure. Outside there are boxes of $5 items.
If you buy anything, try it on there. The size tags are not always correct. If you go into the $5 boxes, look closely. I think those are returns from stores so there is bad stitching, missing tags, etc.

They take credit cards. I didn't see any non-printed bib shorts.

I didn't make it. The 5 freeway moved at about 30 mph from Burbank all the way to Irvine when I decided I would be lucky to get there by 4, and then I'd have to fight rush hour back to meet my wife at Disneyland, so I headed back. Too bad, I just retired 2 pairs of shorts and could have bought 4 or 5 for the price of one. I'll catch a deal elsewhere some time.

I went and like last time, was well worth the time. From Irvine it only took me about 40 minutes so it wasn't bad at all. In total I spent about $200 but picked up a trunkload of stuff for that:
5 jersey's for me
4 jersey's for my daughter
4 jersey's for the woman
2 pairs of gloves
1 pair of arm warmers
1 pair of leg warmers
3 road shorts
1 MB short
Gotta love the bargains!

I went. They had a box full of unprinted bibs (but they were all XXL). They had a good selection of the other stuff.
I managed to score some good deals.
Two pairs of their Elite shorts
Three plain Jerseys (One seemed like a score, it had their drycore layer stuff, the lady didn't think it was supposed to be on the rack but oh well score for me!)
Total was about $60.00

I tried to go on Saturday and also meet some friends in San Diego. After spending 45 minutes on I-5 from Irvine Spectrum to Ortega Highway I have up and went home. Next time I'll try to go on Friday.
