Now I'm finding out that there are a differance between the british old standard and the cdn. old standard?Didn't know that before...I just thought there was a old and new 26" standard.
But I see there is two old 26" standards, this can be confusing
to say the least?Just bought a real nice old standard British bicycle at a garage sale single speed gee it sure is nice.I'm starting to appreciate the old standard better then ever...first thought is the best they say.Well anyway the bicycle is a CCM
Encore with the 26" British standard tires & wheels.

Talked with a dept store clerk today he said it can be a real confusing thing...the differances between the two old standards
they said they have quit a time sometimes..trying to help there customers figure out what they have..Imperial 26" old standard
or 26" British old standard..The British standard is the biggest:confused:

There are actually more than just 2 26" standards. There is the old british 26", the old Schwiin 26", road bike 26", and MMTB 26", just to name a few.

In addition to the usual number, ex: 26x1.95 there should also be something like this: (54-559). Match up this number and the wheel should fit.
