Someone explain what it means when they say a bike rides like a wet noodle. I've never ridden a wet noodle.

It means when the bike has to much flex in the frame, not stiff enough. Usually pertaining to the bottom bracket.

It means it gets soft when it's wet out and it should be served with a nice marinara sauce.

yeah, but sling it against the wall to see if it sticks first.

And also if the rider is heavy, right?
Oops. Bike related. Sorry. Mods please move this if you need to.

You never took a guy to bed after he had too much to drink?

Yes, heavier riders would notice this more.
From the great Sheldon Brown:
Torsional/lateral stiffness
This is mainly related to the stresses generated by the forces you create from pedaling. Any frame will flex around the bottom bracket a bit in response to pedaling loads. This flex can be felt, and many riders assume that it is consuming (wasting) pedaling effort. Actually, that's not the case, because the metals used in bicycle frames are very efficient springs, and the energy gets returned at the end of the power stroke, so little or nothing is actually lost.
While there is no actual loss of efficiency from a "flexy" frame, most cyclists find the sensation unpleasant, and prefer a frame that is fairly stiff in the drive-train area. This is more of a concern for larger, heavier riders, and for those who make a habit of standing up to pedal.

a couple-few are fine to loosen up, but I've gone beyond that with disastrous results a few times in my life :o
Alcohol in your system
A common cause of erectile dysfunction. Alcohol is commonly used to 'loosen things up' before sex or on a night out. Problem is, alcohol dilates (widens) your blood vessels. If you manage to get an erection, the alcohol keeps the blood vessels to your penis open, the blood drains out and you're left hanging in limpland.
The effect varies greatly from person to person and depends on how much you drink. If you've had a few drinks and think you might be having sex soon, stop drinking asap and start drinking water. Then foreplay until you feel the effects of alcohol wear off, or forget about intercourse altogether and give her pleasure and orgasms from g spot massage or clit sex - which you should be doing anyway!

Went to a party
I danced all night
I drank 16 beers
And I started up a fight
But now I am jaded
You're out of luck
I'm rolling down the stairs
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk, to f*ck
I'm too drunk, too drunk, too drunk
To f*ck
I like your stories
I love your gun
Shooting out truck tires
Sounds like loads and loads of fun
But in my room
Wish you were dead
You ball like the baby
In Eraserhead
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk, to f*ck
It's all I need right now
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk to f*ck
Too drunk, to f*ck
I'm sick soft gooey and cold
Too drunk to f*ck
I'm about to drop
My head's a mess
The only salvation is
I'll never see you again
You give me head
It makes it worse
Take out your f*ckin' retainer
Put it in your purse
I'm too drunk to f*ck
You're to drunk to f*ck
Too drunk to f*ck
It's all I need right now Oh baby
I'm melting like an ice cream bar
Oh baby
And now I got diarrhea
Too drunk to f*ck
Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah
Oooohhh

Usually relates to huge-travel freeride bikes, where the rear suspension flexes and absorbs your pedaling momentum. Be cool and ride a hardtail and you'll never have this problem.

I have a hardtail. It's my favorite bike. And I have a couple of bikes with 5 inches front and rear. XC and AM

That's good to hear. As long as you still like your mountain bikes more than that...roadUMB...bike.

Well that roadie is kinda cool, too. I just have a certain favoritism for the Caldera.
