No, we didn't decide to have children yet. I got this on ebay for only $760! My wife let me buy a different bike because my Bianchi just isn't fitting right after the fork problem.

Litespeed Classic with 8 speed Ultegra, it's even cleaner than it looked in the auction. I will be assembling it Monday and putting my compact crank and saddle on it.

Now for my devious plan: We're visiting my wife's uncle in August who is a patent attorny for the makers of the Comfort Seat http://www.thecomfortseat.com/ and he's going to give us one. Do you think I could get my wife to try that seat on my Bianchi (it's about her size) and hopefully get her into riding before she puts her foot down and makes me sell it like I promised?

Wow, nice! DO what you can to keep the bike man. Explain to the wife that bikes are like kids, you can't just go selling 'em!:D

+1,000,0000 - or at the very least tell her that in lieu of selling the Bianchi, you'll give it to this very nice lady you know on Bike Forums who will love it and treat it well. :p Seriously, get her on that bike any way possible - she'll thank you in the future. ;)

Very nice, Brian! Those are real classics. I'm still riding my original 1993 Litespeed Classic frame which I recently converted to a fixed/ss. My primary road bike is also a Litespeed (2005 Firenze). Congratulations on your new purchase.....you did good...:)

That's a great looking ride. I would love to own a litespeed... maybe I should start looking at ebay too.

Hi roadfix, I've been lurking on the boards for a while... and was wondering how many bikes do you have? Seems like you have more than just a few. :D

Actually, the campy hoods don't fit my hands very well so I'm back to Shimano, but the plan is to ride it until the components wear out (which might be sooner than later based on my inspection last night) and then upgrade to 10 speed when everyone else is getting 11 speed :D

I definitely didn't score any points with the wife staying up until 4am putting it together and putting on my cranks, cassette, and computer. But this should let me do a quick fit and spray the shifters with WD40 before a test ride.

And it seems like they're almost all fixed gears!
