Does anyone know the weight of the Bianchi Volpe? (please state the size of the bike too please). The reason I want to know is that I am looking for another road bike that will provide superior comfort without sacrificing too much performance. I am nearly 40 and am not interested in racing at this time (maybe in the 40 and over category in a couple years ;) ). I was hoping to find a decently equipped bike for under $1000....by decent, I mean anything but a total Sora group. The Volpe (Tiagra mix) can be had for about $500...very cheap, but it feels heavy. Anyone know what the actual weight is?
The Bianchi Axis and the Giro have really caught my attention unfortunately....both run about $1300.
Let me know what you think....Thanks

Where are you finding a Volpe for $500. I would buy one in a flash for that. They usually sell for $8-900.

I don't know how much they weigh, but the specs are so similar to a Trek 520, which weighs 25-26 pounds, I'd imagine the Volpe is about the same.

A LBS has them for $525 as a close-out price. It is very tempting, but unfortunately they dont have one assembled in my size so that I could give it a try.
