Folding Bikes - 1018 Miles on a folder
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Rode 56 miles today and logged 1018 miles in the short time I have been riding the Speed 7. Perhaps it's time to put the bike to rest for awhile and start again on my Trek 700 for the rest of the summer. The heat was just unbearable but was so glad I started early this morning and managed to achieve 56 miles to meet my average of 50 miles per ride. If you ride today, stay hydrated and take frequent breaks. Happy cycling.

How long have you had the Speed 7?
Trek 700... is that a mountain bike?
What has been making you ride the folder so much? Honeymooning or practicality?
I installed the computers on my wife's MTB and my hybrid today, then we went to the pool for a few hours. I've got a 1.5" thick pork chop on the grill, after having marinated it all day, then we're going for a ride around 7 or so, when it cools down a bit, right before the park closes.
Had the Speed 7 since April with just a couple of rides with about 30 miles, 270 for May and 584 for June . Trek 700 is a Multitrack, road and off road bike.
What motivate me to ride the Speed 7? It's faster and it's superb handling performance compared to a full size bike. I ride it to stay fit and be healthy mostly and not for commuting but have taken it few times grocery shopping, those mileage however does not get recorded nor I use a computer to measure distance. I would say that the Speed 7 live up to it's name and purpose as an urban utility folder.
Enjoy the barbecue and the ride.
